- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, temporary travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients in a high-risk, high-census environment
- Maintain independent nursing practice with at least 2 years of experience, or 1–1.5 years if previously worked on a high-risk L&D unit
- Float between units and facilities as needed, with potential assignments to multiple locations including nearby hospitals
- Handle on-call duties and work scheduled weekends every other or every third shift
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
Required Qualifications
- Valid OR nursing license (pending license submission acceptable)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in labor and delivery, or 1–1.5 years in a high-risk/high-volume setting
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Ability to operate Epic charting system
- Reliable transportation for travel between multiple facilities
- Must have a vehicle for the assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in short-term acute care facilities with high patient volumes
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
- Previous experience floating between units and facilities
- Flexibility to work night shifts and holidays as scheduled
