Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of an RN.
• Provide support primarily in cardiac open heart procedures, with the ability to assist in all areas of the OR as needed.
• Help in delivering high-quality care to patients across all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments and surgical equipment.
• Support various surgical procedures, focusing on cardiac and cardiovascular operations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon.
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program or military/training equivalent.
• Certification as a surgical technologist issued by the NBSTSA or recent graduation from an accredited program.
• At least two years of scrubbing experience in CVOR/Open Heart procedures or two years of acute care scrubbing experience.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience or training in computer applications related to surgical technology.
• Previous work in cardiac operating rooms or with cardiovascular procedures.
