• Full-time, Night shifts, working every other weekend, 12-hour shifts (1830-0700)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, including managing continuous nebulizer treatments, Bipap, and insulin drips for DKA.
• Manage patient care on the general pediatric floor when not assigned to the PICU, typically overseeing 3-4 patients.
• Operate and document using computerized systems such as EPIC, medication administration, and charting software.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including monitoring for emergencies and responding promptly to patient needs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and float to units such as NICU and OB as needed to support patient care.
• Follow unit-specific policies, dress code (navy scrubs, with optional child-friendly scrub tops), and participate in orientation/shadow shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of ND or appropriate multi-state licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience, including experience in PICU or critical care.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Ability to manage both PICU and general pediatric patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in NICU or OB units.
• Experience floating to different pediatric units and handling complex cases.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• No local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles of Bismarck are accepted.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility and adhere to dress code policies.
• A few orientation shifts will be provided to familiarize new staff with the unit's protocols and equipment.
