Key Responsibilities

• Perform Preadmission Testing to prepare patients for surgery
• Assist with patient assessments and documentation in a surgical setting
• Support patient flow and efficient unit operations for day surgery patients
• Follow unit policies and guidelines, including ASPAN standards
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective preoperative care
• Maintain compliance with dress code and other unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 1+ year of experience in Day Surgery or PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Experience performing preoperative assessments and procedures
• Ability to work varied shifts, including days, with flexibility for on-call hours
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Meditech

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in day surgery or PACU settings
• Knowledge of recovery procedures and preoperative testing protocols
• Easy-going and pleasant personality to fit well within the team

Note: Candidates must be able to work on-site at the Houston outpatient surgery center, located at 900 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104. Shifts will be days, with hours typically from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and may vary. This travel assignment offers a valuable experience in a fast-paced surgical unit.
