Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room setting for various surgical procedures, including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.
- Assist with organ transplant procedures and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
- Prepare and maintain sterile environments and assist surgical teams during operations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow all protocol requirements, including required certifications and on-call responsibilities.
- Prioritize time-sensitive modules and adhere to facility policies, including nicotine-free environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in liver/transplant OR RN roles.
- Strong proficiency in operating room procedures and transplant procedures.
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications (must be current at time of submission).
- NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Proficiency with surgical equipment such as Misonix/CUSA.
- Experience with organ reimplantation procedures is required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or level trauma facility.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Additional Details
- Shift hours: 11:00 - 23:30, 3 days per week, with on-call responsibilities including one weekday shift and two weekend shifts per month.
- Travel compliance and nicotine-free policy strictly enforced.
- First-time travelers accepted; RTO (requested time off) must be included upfront.
- Facility provides free parking; scrub color: Ceil Blue.
- Orientation includes EKG and pharmacy tests; study materials provided.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid nursing license in applicable state (pending license accepted).
- Up-to-date negative 10-panel drug screen and cotinine test within 12 months.
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application.
Note: This position requires working in a time-sensitive environment with priority on transplant experience.
