Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapy.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies accordingly.
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
- Care for patients undergoing complex procedures such as autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes and compliance with safety standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio or compact state nursing license.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology units, including telemetry monitoring.
- Chemo certification is not required but preferred.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification.
- Experience administering blood products, managing central lines, and caring for transplant patients.
- Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and respond appropriately.
