Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, contract, 12-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for ICU patients, including monitoring and managing conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator support
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, vents, and critical care procedures
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (CPSI)
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (WV or Compact License; pending license acceptable)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required, via American Heart Association
• Ability to provide references from recent managers/charges (within past 2 years)
• Must include SSN and DOB on application at time of submittal
• Covid vaccine status must be provided with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with conscious sedation and vent management
• Prior telemetry experience in a critical care setting
• Knowledge of CPSI EMR system

Shift Information

• Days, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) on weekdays, with every other weekend off

Travel Compliance

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; 75-100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis
• Include SSN, DOB, and RTO details on application
• Travel compliance requirements apply as outlined

Additional Notes

• Full documentation including certifications must be submitted by noon prior to start to avoid delays
• Orientation is every other Thursday; modules included in onboarding hours
• Prior Vandalia Health System employees are ineligible for this travel contract if previously employed at specific facilities
