Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shifts, 13-week contract, typically scheduled 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients in a fast-paced environment
• Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and coordinate care plans
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records system
• Respond to emergency situations efficiently and effectively
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state licensing
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Experience working in high-volume EDs, preferably with trauma and stroke center background
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with ability to adapt to various areas within the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in Level II trauma centers or comprehensive stroke centers
• Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically Cerner system
• Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to team members
• Knowledge of multi-cultural patient care, with sensitivity to diverse community needs
