- Full-time, Days shifts, 13-week contract, typically scheduled 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients in a fast-paced environment
- Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and coordinate care plans
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records system
- Respond to emergency situations efficiently and effectively
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state licensing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Experience working in high-volume EDs, preferably with trauma and stroke center background
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with ability to adapt to various areas within the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in Level II trauma centers or comprehensive stroke centers
- Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically Cerner system
- Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to team members
- Knowledge of multi-cultural patient care, with sensitivity to diverse community needs
