Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulating nurse in the operating room, ensuring patient safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrate effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care based on patient needs and surgical procedure requirements.
• Maintain compliance with infection control and asepsis principles, demonstrating proficiency in applying best practices.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, OR Unit Manager, and Nursing Supervisor, functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide call coverage one day per week and parts of two weekends in a six-week rotation during a 13-week contract.

Required Qualifications

• Current or temporary RN license in North Dakota or valid compact RN license.
• BLS certification within orientation period.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Experience working in a Level 2 Trauma Center preferred.
• Travel experience and Cerner system proficiency required.
• Proof of licensure (full NURSYS report if RN) submitted with application; no license hits allowed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred, not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of asepsis, infection control, and surgical practices.
• Ability to work efficiently, exercise sound judgment, and function effectively within a team.
