Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a high-volume unit
- Assist with procedures such as C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler assessments
- Utilize advanced equipment including Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, telemetry monitors, and CPN software
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, supportive environment
- Maintain compliance with unit policies and protocols, including oxytocin administration policies
- Support unit goals by contributing to patient-centered care through teamwork and flexibility
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
- Proven experience with C-sections and high-risk labor and delivery cases
- Strong understanding of OB procedures and equipment
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a team nursing approach
- Valid RN license in Kansas or appropriate state
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- More than 2 years of labor and delivery experience
- High-risk labor, delivery, and postpartum care experience
- Experience with hospitalist programs and supportive OB workflows
