Registered Nurse NICU

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - NICU

Location
• Knoxville, TN

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to emergent situations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Support and educate families of NICU patients.
• Float within Women’s Services scope as needed, very rarely outside NICU.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, including at least 2-3 weekends per 4-week schedule.
• No on-call required.
• Must be willing to work some holidays and comply with travel document deadlines.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in high-acuity neonatal units.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to accommodate some schedule requests, though not guaranteed.
