• Full-time, Night shift (3x12 hours)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized cardiac intensive care to critically ill patients in the CVICU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret ECG rhythms, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent CVICU experience prior to travel assignments (travel experience acceptable).
• Valid Ohio license or active compact license in applicable states.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Completed Qualivis – Lotus submission, including all travel compliance documentation.
• One recent supervisory or management reference in the CVICU specialty.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (required for non-nurses).
• FBI/BCI fingerprinting completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous travel experience in critical care units.
• Strong proficiency in ECG interpretation and emergency interventions.
• Knowledge of hospital policies regarding nicotine exemption and PAPR use.
