Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for approximately 336 patients across multiple hospitals in a central monitoring unit.
- AnalyzeEKG and heart rhythms, ensuring accurate documentation and building end-of-shift reports within the GE Carescape system.
- Communicate patient status and alerts effectively to floor staff via desktop phones and mobile applications.
- Manage patient data by adding and discharging patients from the monitoring system and maintaining detailed call logs.
- Cross-train on GE Carescape and Cerner Patient Observer systems to support virtual sitter operations.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while managing a high volume of patient monitors during long shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with remote cardiac monitoring in a travel or similar setting.
- Credentialed in telemetry and able to pass basic cardiac rhythm assessments.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting heart rhythms.
- Strong attendance record.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Proficient typing skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to operate a smartphone (iPhone).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Nursing assistant (CNA) background or cardiac nursing experience.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- ECG certification or board certification.
- Prior experience with GE Carescape monitoring systems.
