Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, contract assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for a 41-bed inpatient unit with telemetry, focusing on renal and limb preservation patients.
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses including ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetes, and diabetic foot ulcers.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including treatments for dialysis patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage telemetry equipment.
• Adhere to unit policies regarding patient safety, documentation, and protocols.
• Comply with travel and hospital-specific policies, including rapid testing and orientation requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license for North Carolina or a compact state, in-hand at start.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with telemetry background preferred.
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Willingness to float within the hospital as necessary.
• Complete 24 hours of orientation, including EMR training.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Certifications such as ACLS and NIHSS are highly preferred.
• Experience working with renal and limb preservation patients.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems.
