Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 8-week assignment, onsite, days schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care and documentation.
- Work on-call rotating shifts, including weekends, with a requirement to be within 30 minutes of the hospital.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois nursing license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2+ years of OR nursing experience, including proficiency with Epic electronic health records.
- Experience with Ophthalmology procedures and DaVinci Robot-assisted general surgeries.
- Travel contract experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous on-call experience in a surgical setting.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative protocols and safety standards.
