Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders through direct patient care.
• Complete documentation, including evaluations, care plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding benefits and authorizations.
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure effective patient care.
• Educate healthcare staff such as nurses, physicians, and dietitians on evaluation outcomes and treatment recommendations.
• Develop in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered treatment plans.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms following sessions.
• Provide reminder calls to patients and assist families in navigating hospital services.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license or certification.
• Experience in assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to document clinical activities accurately and thoroughly.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Knowledge of insurance processes related to therapy benefits.
• Ability to educate and present to diverse healthcare teams.
