Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopy and GI procedures in a hospital setting.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
- Administer moderate sedation, monitor patient vitals, and assess patient status throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois registered nurse license.
- CPR and ACLS certification.
- Epic electronic medical record systems experience.
- Ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in GI Lab, Endoscopy, or PACU Pre/Post Op.
- Experience with moderate sedation administration.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing 30-60 cases per day.
- Strong clinical skills in GI procedures and patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently within a high-volume environment.
