Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a hospital within the Ohio State University system.
• Monitor patient recovery, including vital signs and overall condition, and manage patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth recovery processes.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital protocols and standards for patient safety and infection control.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, specifically with PACU or similar recovery units.
• Current valid RN license in Ohio or a compact state license.
• Epic EMR system experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience is required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 in the PACU setting.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting within the Ohio State University healthcare system.
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing promptly.
