• Full-time, traveling assignment
• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to surgical and neurological patients on a busy Med/Surg unit.
• Perform basic nursing procedures including starting IVs, wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress using telemetry and other monitoring equipment.
• Document patient data accurately in Meditech system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Foster a supportive environment by engaging with patients and their families to include them in the care process.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain state licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Prior Med/Surg experience, including IV starts, basic wound care, and managing drains and tubes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment such as IV pumps, telemetry, and pulse oximetry.
• Ability to prioritize care efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
