Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Contract, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including nursery responsibilities in a Baby Friendly Facility.
- Cross-trained to perform role functions across labor & delivery, OB triage, acute care nursery, and GYN surgery patients.
- Manage patient care independently, including conducting hearing screenings and administering medications using Omnicell system.
- Ensure proper documentation and charting in EPIC, with at least one year of EMR experience required.
- Participate in call and on-call duties, as well as weekend coverage on a rotating basis.
- Maintain compliance with certifications and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of South Carolina.
- Valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neonatal care, OB triage, and nursery responsibilities.
- Ability to perform and document care independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience handling unit-specific procedures like hearing screenings and medication administration.
