Key Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion services in an acute care hospital setting, supporting cardiac surgeries and other procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during perfusion procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including state licensure and BLS requirements.
• Participate in weekend call rotations approximately every fifth weekend, with possible holiday coverage.
• Complete required charting using Cerner and adhere to hospital protocols.
• Follow hospital policies regarding floating within the hospital or neighboring facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant perfusion experience; exceptions may apply based on unit needs.
• Active Illinois state license in hand at submission.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only).
• At least 18 months of clinical experience in perfusion.
• Ability to work a 5-day schedule, with at least 2 out of 3 major holidays required.
• Must be able to complete all compliance requirements, including background checks and documentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute Level I trauma center.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Additional certifications or specialized training relevant to perfusion services.
