Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of resident care services in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, recruit and staff the team, and ensure compliance with all regulations and laws.
- Lead the management and auditing of electronic medical records (EMR), including staff training and report generation.
- Participate in survey processes, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure resident assessments, care plans, and interventions are thorough, accurate, and regularly updated in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Oversee resident rights, notify physicians of changes, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Promote a resident-centered environment, ensuring residents are offered choices and are free from neglect or abuse.
- Supervise staff performance, conduct care conferences, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and antibiotic stewardship programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered nurse licensure for the applicable state.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand complex clinical information.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Supervisory experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and regulatory survey processes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
