Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, temporary assignment for 16-32 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in an intensive care or progressive care setting, including cardiac monitoring and medication administration.
- Manage insulin, cardiac drips, and IV starts for post-cardiac cath patients.
- Float to various units as needed, ensuring coverage across the resource float team.
- Monitor acute conditions such as ACS, heart failure, post-PTCA/stent, and other cardiac diagnoses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team under established protocols and documentation systems.
- Adhere to safety standards, including proper use of equipment, and maintain professional appearance and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NY nursing license or proof of application with applied date (licensing may take 6-8 weeks).
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
- NIHSS certification prior to start.
- Minimum of 1 year tele experienced in a similar setting.
- Experience with insulin and cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac cath care.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
- Ability to work every other weekend and flexibility to meet unit needs.
- Reliable transportation, with all-season tires preferred, especially during winter months.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nurse experience preferred.
- Experience with IV pumps, invasive monitoring, and telemetry.
- Strong understanding of acute cardiac and respiratory patient populations.

- Dress code: navy blue or white scrubs, closed-toe nonskid shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed appearance.
- Unit uses EPIC for documentation and MAK for medication administration.
