Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to a patient population across all ages, including ICU and ED floors.
• Manage ventilators, invasive monitoring, ABGs, and other advanced respiratory equipment.
• Document patient care procedures accurately in the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are maintained and functioning properly.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and maintain compliance with all hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential or eligibility to take the NBRC written exam.
• Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner.
• AHA ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in respiratory therapy, including NICU, ICU, or ED settings.
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel or acute care experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience, particularly with newborns, is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, variable schedule.

• All work history gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Day shift hours are 12 hours; schedule may include weekends and holidays.
• No call required.
