Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, Mids (3x12 or 4x12 schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a level I trauma center.
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient conditions efficiently.
• Manage cardiac monitoring, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including continuous IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, and splinting.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or in process with ETA for application.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, combined adult/pediatric.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage complex neurological and orthopedic cases.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Must have completed all compliance requirements, including background check, fingerprints, and badge photo.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing multisystem organ failure and trauma cases.
• Skilled in managing pediatric and psychiatric emergencies including violence and overdose cases.
• Ability to float within scope and adapt to hospital needs.
• Previous experience in a Level I trauma center.
