Schedule / Job Type
- Rotating shifts, full-time, inpatient respiratory therapy care with potential to work in multiple units and locations within Fargo
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders to support optimal health outcomes
- Perform therapeutic interventions, including blood gas analysis, lung capacity measurement, and equipment management
- Provide patient education on respiratory health, preventative care, and self-management strategies
- Document patient assessments and procedures accurately using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Float between units and locations as needed, including NICU, Peds ICU, adult ICU, and ER
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
- Valid ND state license or willingness to apply within 72 hours of acceptance
- NBRC RRT certification
- BLS certification from AHA
- Experience working in facilities with 300+ beds, including ICU and emergency rooms
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in NICU, PICU, or adult ICU settings
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS (AHA)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to patient condition changes
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities
