Teacher Learning Specialist

Primary Purpose:
Create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports students in building foundational skills for successful participation in a global society. Foster creativity, self-motivation, and academic excellence through a highly engaging, international, arts-integrated, and STEAM-focused curriculum.

Position Details:

Location: Denver, CO
Pay: Starting $40/hr
Hours: M-F 8a-4p 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Education degree preferred)
  • Prior teaching experience preferred, ideally in an elementary or urban setting
  • Experience working with linguistically and ethnically diverse student populations and children with developmental differences

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage young learners
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching teams and families
  • Experience incorporating arts integration, play-based learning, and instructional technology
  • Patience, flexibility, and willingness to take instructional risks
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective teaching practices
  • Ability to support diverse learners, including students with disabilities, ELL students, and gifted learners

Responsibilities:

  • Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, projects, and assessments
  • Develop lesson plans incorporating arts integration and child development principles
  • Utilize a variety of instructional materials and experiences to enrich learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students
  • Administer developmental assessments and track student progress across milestones
  • Observe students regularly and use data to inform instruction and classroom planning
  • Monitor progress through formal and informal assessments, including portfolio-based evaluation
  • Support students’ social-emotional development, communication, and self-regulation
  • Provide learning opportunities that reflect diverse sensory and information processing needs
  • Promote creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the broader community
  • Encourage child-initiated play and exploration throughout the day
  • Participate in a two-week summer institute and ongoing professional development
