Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) cases, including heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, ECMO, and other complex surgeries.
• Scrub and assist with CV surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety standards.
• Work approximately 100 hours over 6 weeks, including one weekend call every 6 weeks, with shifts of 8-12 hours.
• Float to other OR specialties as needed to support hospital staffing.
• Cover major holidays, with a requirement to work 2 out of 3, including holiday shifts.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and assist with parallel tasks in high-acuity cardiac cases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of perioperative/CVOR nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Active IN state, compact, or temporary license in hand prior to start date.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including call times.
• Willingness to work holidays and float within hospital departments.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with Level I Trauma centers preferred.
• Experience with heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, ECMO procedures.
• Candidates with recent Level I Trauma experience are encouraged to apply.
