Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, specialized nursing care to patients on a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on respiratory and pulmonary disorders

• Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:6 ratio, providing individualized care for patients with a variety of lung diseases or injuries

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy

• Apply expertise in respiratory nursing skills alongside a strong foundation in general medical-surgical care

• Float to other units or facilities as required

• Work every other weekend and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or valid Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted</b>); must be verifiable through NURSYS

• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification

• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry

• Proficiency or willingness to work with Meditech EMR

• Ability and willingness to float to other units and hospital facilities as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience

• Prior experience in a pulmonary or respiratory-focused care setting

• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in a high-acuity environment
