Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical social services using a holistic approach to patients and their families across all age groups, from prenatal through elderly
• Assist patients and families in identifying and addressing physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges that impact health outcomes
• Deliver social services in both individual and group settings, including direct patient/client interaction, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration
• Perform supervisory tasks in the absence of the primary supervisor and work both independently and collaboratively with other social workers
• Document and communicate effectively with patients, families, agencies, and organizational staff

Required Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited program
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Active State of Alaska Master's-level social work license (LMSW) required
• Valid Alaska State driver's license required
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend at a college level and effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a cross-cultural setting
• Bilingual language skills in English and Yup'ik
