Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 40 hours/week | Every other weekend and rotating holidays required | On-call schedule averaging 3–4 days/month and one weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of inpatient acute dialysis patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws and practice acts
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Document patient care activities according to established standards of care
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Apply critical thinking skills related to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to start
• Experience in inpatient acute dialysis nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience providing clinical expertise and guidance across multiple units or departments in support of longitudinal patient care plans
• Familiarity with shared governance models and unit-level performance improvement initiatives
