Contract | Days | Four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM); days will vary based on unit need; no block schedule available. Rotating weekend call on a 6-week schedule; weekend call spans Saturday 6:30 AM through Monday 6:30 AM (48-hour period). Extended hours may be required to complete cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting at a Level I trauma facility
• Perform circulating duties across surgical cases including eyes, general, ortho, neuro, ENT, urology, plastics, and burns
• Care for a pediatric patient population ranging from ages 0–18, with potential exposure to adult patients
• Participate in rotating weekend call coverage as established by the 6-week staff schedule
• Float to other surgical service lines as needed, excluding cardiac and GI, based on unit demand and demonstrated competency

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
• Circulating experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level I trauma setting or comparable high-acuity environment required
• Active BLS and PALS certifications required
• Complete COVID-19 vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date; no exceptions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple surgical service lines including ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and plastics
• Comfort working in a large, high-volume hospital environment with 16 or more OR suites
