Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Variable Start Times: 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care within an acute care hospital Operating Room setting
- Support trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases as required by the facility's trauma status
- Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff, which may include up to 6–8 on-call shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends
- Float between like units within the contracted facility and to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) as required
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care Operating Room environment
- Ability to adapt to variable start times and flexible scheduling needs
- Comfort floating between units and sister facilities as directed
