Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Full-Time | On-Site | Evening Shift (5x8, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including autoclaves and other processing machinery
- Perform quality checks to ensure instruments meet safety and sterility standards prior to distribution
- Accurately track and document instrument sets and sterilization records within the electronic charting system (EPIC)
- Collaborate with surgical services staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies and instrumentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing experience required
- Active CBSPD or CRCST certification required
- Candidates must not have a permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal
- Must be able to provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of sterile processing experience preferred
- Prior experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
