Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:00–16:30) | Onsite | Rotating on-call required including weekends and after-hours
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, MUGA Scan, 3-Phase, Whole Body Bone Scan, Liver Imaging, Perfusion, and Ventilation/Perfusion studies
- Conduct Exercise/Rest-Multiple and Pharmacological Stress testing in adult and nuclear cardiology settings
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs and adhere to isolation precautions as required
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with applicable regulations
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage, including all after-hours, Saturdays, and Sundays on a weekly rotating basis
- Multitask effectively and collaborate as a team player within a short-term acute care facility environment
Required Qualifications
- Active CNMT or NMTCB certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Experience in adult and nuclear cardiology settings required
- Valid state license required prior to start date; pending licensure may be accepted if permanent application has been submitted
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience working in a short-term acute care hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage rotating on-call schedules and variable shift lengths (8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts)
