Registered Nurse – CVOR (Circulating)

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circulating RN duties in a cardiovascular operating room environment (scrubbing is not required)
- Provide perioperative nursing care for complex cardiac cases including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
- Float to other OR specialties as needed within the facility or affiliate locations
- Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 100 hours per 6-week period, including one call weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning) per 6-week cycle
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
- Adhere to facility compliance standards and work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Indiana (permanent, compact, or temporary license must be in hand prior to start date)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; first-time CVOR travelers considered with Level I Trauma experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Willingness and ability to float to other OR specialties
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accredited institution)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous CVOR circulating experience
- Experience with high-acuity cardiac cases such as transplants, aortic dissections, or ECMO
- Level I Trauma center background
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
