Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a palliative care unit focused on symptom management for patients with serious illness, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue.
• Support patients and families in achieving improved quality of life through evidence-based palliative interventions.
• Float to inpatient units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for high-acuity medical surgical patient populations.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Valid RN license – compact or state license must be in hand at time of submission.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• Must be willing and able to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Background in medical surgical nursing with interest in expanding palliative care skills.
• Experience working with high-acuity and diverse inpatient populations.
