Key Responsibilities

• Assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient throughout operative procedures
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required by the department
• Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist training from an accredited program
• Ability to perform a wide variety of duties in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care or hospital setting
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through an accredited certifying body
