Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiographic examinations including transthoracic and other standard echo studies
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and echo imaging equipment to ensure quality diagnostic results
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort
- Acquire and document high-quality cardiac images for physician interpretation
- Collaborate with clinical staff and cardiology team to support patient care within a critical access hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification through a recognized credentialing body
- Demonstrated experience performing echocardiograms in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echo imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently in a day shift, Monday through Friday schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a critical access or rural hospital environment
- Familiarity with a broad range of echo modalities and imaging technologies
