Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during overnight weekend shifts
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Potential to float to other units within the same hospital system to care for the same patient population
• Participate in required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Work at least every other holiday as required by facility scheduling policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent Ohio license or Compact State license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty prior to any travel assignments
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted for this requirement)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Demonstrated ability to float across multiple inpatient units including emergency department environments
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telemetry monitoring equipment
