Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on an acute care ortho trauma unit managing PCU-level patients
  • Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses including SBO, fall, laceration, pneumonia, head injury, TBI, trauma, ileus, fistula, and fractures
  • Perform IV starts, medication administration, and laboratory specimen collection
  • Conduct patient monitoring and telemetry interpretation
  • Deliver patient and family education throughout the care continuum

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Telemetry (Tele) competency required
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
  • Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
  • Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience caring for ortho trauma or stepdown patient populations
  • Strong general nursing skills including patient assessment and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
