Contract | Night Shift | Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 5x8-hour shifts | Occasional holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex histologic procedures including tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy
- Conduct routine and special stains as well as immunohistochemistry procedures
- Perform quality control on completed slides and identify issues that may affect diagnostic results
- Record observations from tests and document instrument and equipment maintenance
- Comply with established laboratory policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification through the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 3–5 years of full-time histology experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in embedding and microtomy skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in histotechnology, biology, or a related scientific discipline
- QIHC (Qualification in Immunohistochemistry) certification
