Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in a 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), with a focus on post-operative recovery following cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical procedures
• Perform and interpret complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill surgical patients
• Deliver nursing care in an 8-bed cardiac stepdown unit (CSU), supporting recovery of patients following cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency and contribute to a patient-centered care approach within both units
• Float to other units and hospital facilities as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR; adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in ICU or cardiac surgical specialty
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Current AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AHA PALS certification (required if assigned to pediatric unit)
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• 2 or more years of ICU or cardiac surgical nursing experience
