Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, Friday 7:30 AM–12:30 PM (39 hours/week) | Closed Major Holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oral prophylaxis including removal of hard and soft deposits and stains from tooth surfaces and polishing
- Apply topical fluoride, expose and develop radiographs, and chart dental disease
- Provide oral hygiene instruction, nutritional and dietary counseling to patients
- Review medical and dental health histories, take and record blood pressure, and make and confirm appointments
- Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry
- Participate in training dental hygiene students with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
- Must meet travel eligibility distance requirements from all system facilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
- Experience working in a teaching or training environment with dental hygiene students
