Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations in a critical care environment
• Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administer inhaled medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, metered dose inhaler, and nebulizer devices including handheld, T-piece, and trach collar
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and trach collar oxygen therapy
• Perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas of documented competency

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in South Carolina — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Proficiency with a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, pulmicort, xopenex, tobramycin, and others

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with weaning patients from mechanical ventilation
• Familiarity with troubleshooting high-pressure ventilator alarms
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
