Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Contract | 13–26 Weeks | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for cardiac patients including those with diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization
- Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote cardiac monitoring
- Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine, with titration as required
- Perform and assist with specialized procedures including sheath pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery patients
- Float to other units within the facility as needed, with potential to float every shift
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring
- Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and sheath removal
- Proficiency with port access, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NC RN license or valid Compact license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
