Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a neurological progressive care / stepdown unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients with neurological conditions, identifying and responding to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with care plans and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient outcomes
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neurological stepdown or progressive care setting
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Availability to work weekends as required; no block scheduling

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong medical/surgical nursing background with stepdown or progressive care exposure
• Experience caring for neurologically complex or stroke patients
