Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic (GI Oncology)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 5x8-Hour Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within a GI Oncology clinic setting
• Manage a high-volume patient caseload of approximately 125 visits per day
• Perform IV starts, specimen collection, and blood glucose monitoring via glucometer
• Respond to cardiac arrest situations and administer CPR as needed
• Accurately document all patient care activities using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient clinic setting
• Active, valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in GI Oncology nursing care
• Demonstrated skills in IV insertion, specimen collection, and glucometer use
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification
• Prior experience as a travel nurse or in a high-volume outpatient oncology environment
