Operating Room Technologist – Labor & Delivery Surgical Tech

Full-Time | Permanent | Days | Onsite | Call rotation required (approximately 1 call shift every 6 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in Labor & Delivery surgical procedures including Cesarean Sections, Hysterectomies, Tubal Ligations, and Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care in the OR
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Adhere to all facility protocols, infection control standards, and surgical safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical technology with a focus on Labor & Delivery
• Strong proficiency in Cesarean Sections, Hysterectomies, Tubal Ligations, and Dilation & Curettage procedures
• Active national certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent)
• GAPS registration is required prior to submission
• Resume/work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Completed skills checklist and professional references required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Local candidates strongly preferred due to credentialing and fingerprinting processing timelines
• Broad experience across a high-volume Labor & Delivery surgical environment
