Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights (3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 hours per week | 13–26 week assignments accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Medical/Surgical patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6–7
• Administer and monitor Heparin drips and Insulin per facility protocols
• Utilize facility systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Float to similar units as needed, with floating expected at least once per week
• Work every other weekend and must be available to work required holidays
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Proficiency with Heparin drips and Insulin administration
• Must pass an EKG competency test prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience (not required but welcomed)
